About Dr. Julianne
Dr. Julianne Smith, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Julianne Smith earned both her Bachelor of Health Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees from Quinnipiac University. Following graduation, she completed an Orthopedic Residency, an intensive post-graduate training program focused on the advanced evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. She earned her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification, a distinction achieved by a select group of physical therapists who have demonstrated advanced clinical expertise through rigorous training, extensive patient care experience and a comprehensive board certification exam.
As a lifelong athlete, Julianne spent years competing as a gymnast. She was exposed to sports physical therapy herself at a young age due to various injuries competing at the highest levels of youth gymnastics. Her experiences as both an athlete and a clinician give her a unique perspective on injury recovery and performance, allowing her to connect with patients who are eager to return to the activities they love.
Julianne is passionate about helping active individuals move better, recovers strong and get back to doing what matters most to them. She has a special interest in post operative rehabilitation, working with runners and guiding patients through complex rehab journeys. Her treatment philosophy is rooted in the believe that rehabilitation is simply training around an injury. By continuing to build strength, confidence and residence throughout the recovery process, patients can make meaningful progress while respecting the body’s healing timeline.
Outside of the clinic, Julianne enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and finding the best local workout class.
